Ace of Hearts – Cardiac Support Group

The Ace of Hearts is a newly formed Cardiac Support Group offering support to the people of Bexley and surrounding areas. The group was formed from Phase IV Cardiac Rehab run by Exercise Lead – Amanda Mitchell. The Group identified that a cardiac support group in Bexley was required, not just for the victims of cardiovascular disease and heart conditions but for their spouses who have been affected in different ways.

All our Cardiac rehabilitation classses will be running despite the cold weather, however if classes are cancelled we will call class members to tell them.

• Roads and pavements can be slippery and dangerous and we feel you should put your personal safety first.

There is a challenge that all new community services, and especially those wishing to offer efficient, value added and patient focussed services based on outcomes, will face in the process of commissioning. They will also face these challenges in the subsequent creation of patients pathways and services. In the new environment of GP consortia and the Care trusts moving to business support, what model should be used to act as a guideline for new services.
